Tales of the Inter-dimensional Trickster Chapter 5
“God damn it, just take the pills and go away already, sigh…” Jie Jun thought to himself as he stared at the 2 eager men looking at the pavilion with expectant eyes.
Not willing to give up his awesome “Great Senior” act, he boomed: “Now leave, I can only hope that you live up to the expectations that this pill has for you!”
Liu immediately replied: “Yes, Great Senior! Quick, Ming, express your gratitude!”
Just as Liu turned around to face Ming, he saw Ming stuffing the red pill into his mouth.
“You idiot!!!” Liu shouted. How could he ingest the pill in a foreign place like this in front of the senior! Even though Ming could theoretically advance to Foundation Establishment with the pill, he still needed to undergo the Heavenly Tribulation. Without any proper formations set up as well as the lack of personnel to guard him during his tribulation, Ming was surely looking to die!
At this moment, Jie Jun could hardly care. He had no idea about this heavenly tribulation and only saw this incident as a greedy man wishing to consume his gift upon receiving it. However, he would soon regret that misunderstanding.
“Ah, thank you Great Senior!” Ming remarked, after consuming the pill. “I am going to advance now, so I hope Great Senior isn’t affected.”
“Wait what?” Jie Jun thought, as dark clouds started gathering in the sky above. The thunder rumbling in the skies gave him a very bad feeling. Could this be their way of advancing? But if it involved lightning, and he was here with Ming… As a large metallic structure, even by way of common sense, he was likely going to be involved! What did I do to this Ming? Why is he repaying gratitude with vengeance!
Just as he was about to scold Ming and ask him to leave, the first lightning struck downwards! Somehow, along the way, the lightning seemed almost confused, unsure of what to hit. The golden pavilion seemed like a sort of great item for boding tribulations, but it clearly wasn’t being used by the cultivator that was advancing? As the lightning came down, it decided to focus on the advancing cultivator. However, as it struck down, a portion of it tore off and struck the golden pavilion!
Instantly, everyone was confused, even the heavenly tribulation! The skies seemed unsure about what was happening and decided to hold off on sending down more lightning until they confirmed the situation. However, only Jie Jun knew what was truly happening. As the lightning hit him, he felt a surge of bearable pain, along with the filling up of his green bar! “I guess as long as it’s a form of energy, then this pavilion wants it?” He thought to himself.
After a short moment, the Heavenly Tribulation continued, increasing in intensity dramatically. This was as if the Heavenly Tribulation felt short-changed and scammed by this pavilion which was clearly usurping its power! Liu was greatly shocked as he noticed this phenomenon. Ming was clearly not even putting in effort into his cultivation as he stared at the remnant Heaven Fire around him while advancing. This could only mean that the Great Senior was helping him lighten the load of his tribulation! What great luck Ming had. Others could only hope for treasures that slightly offset the damage from the Heavenly Tribulation, yet this pavilion could absorb the power from it directly! If his sect could obtain this pavilion, it would definitely be able to advance to being the top sect in the world! Yet, at the same time, he felt guilty for having those thoughts due to the debt he felt towards the pavilion. It clearly did not need to give these gifts to the both of them and he still harboured such malicious thoughts towards it. “Well, it’s not like I can decide what to do with this pavilion. If the seniors come along they would definitely bug it for treasures all day long.” Liu thought to himself.
The Heavenly Tribulation did not last long due to it’s low level. After striking down on the cultivator (+ golden pavilion) about seven times, it left in a hurry. The skies dispersing quickly as if it were angry over being scammed.

Jie Jun bore the pain well, as he tried to prevent his aching moans from leaking out. The only thing that reassured him was the green bar being about 40 percent full. At least this venture wasn’t for naught I guess? At the same time, a certain option in his menu lighted up, as if afraid Jie Jun would not notice it.
--
At the same time, 3 strong presences appeared, flying in at extreme speeds. They were clearly at least at the Nascent Soul level. They had long since heard the commotion and travelled over to witness the origin of the ruckus. These 3 were long used to fighting over the goods that descended from outer space and none of them bothered rushing over because they knew that the younger generation would likely not be able to achieve anything significant even if they got in contact with this otherworldly item. However, upon seeing the Tribulation clouds, they kept a distance, keen on seeing whose sect had the luck of acquiring another expert. Then, it was at this moment that they were shocked. The otherworldly item actually had the effect of absorbing the power of the Heavenly Tribulation!? This meant that its value skyrocketed immensely! An inheritance legacy might be great, but it would only be effective for a few cultivators, whereas an item like this pavilion would be able to greatly shake the whole cultivation world! A sect could have all of its members undergo tribulation at once without fear! Noting this power, all 3 seniors rushed over, keen to take over this Heavenly Item before the others snatched it away.
Just as they came closer, they noticed a huge spatial warp around the pavilion, before it disappeared! Shocked, they flew right up to the 2 juniors still in the grounds, one standing guard and the other clearly stabilising his new foundation and somehow absorbing some of the Heaven Fire embers on the ground as well!

Jie Jun regained consciousness, recalling his recklessness again. Unaware of how he actually dodged a possible calamity, he promised himself no pressing of random buttons again!
That time, he felt a strong urge to select the Travel option, and luckily, his green bar came into play this time! While feeling a strong compression all around him, he was instantly transported! This time, his green bar still had around 20 percent left. Upon looking around, he realised he truly teleported! But he had this uncanny feeling that this teleportation was not just in terms of measurable distance? He instinctively could tell this world was different from the world before, but just as he was about the grasp the difference, he felt extremely exhausted.
Jie Jun was unaware of it then, but his attempt at differentiating the worlds had caused him to feel out the different laws and Daos of the different worlds, exhausting him greatly given his lack of cultivation. Also, he would only discover at a much later date that his actions in the previous world had paved the way for 2 great experts to emerge, each dominating the world with only a single blade and a flame spark respectively!

Forgetting about the fun he had being a “Great Senior” in the previous world, he decided to focus on the more important issue. Himself.
Now that he had a rough sensing of what bar fulfilled what purpose, he decided to finally try out the “Transform” option. However, just as he was about to select the option, a group of barbarians appeared in front of him.
“… When will I get some alone time” Jie Jun mumbled as he looked towards the skies.
